  1. I lived in White Plains until 1993.

In the past few years I learned that my 4th great-grandfather had a farm in SE White Plains at the Harrison / WP border.

His name was Israel Harriot and in 1776 he fought at the Battle of WP, Long Island and at Yorktown, VA in the defeat of Cornwallis.

His son-in-law, Abraham Leonard is my direct ancestor.

My 1st great-granddad’s name was William Harriot Leonard and is one of the sons of Abraham Leonard and Catherine Harriot Leonard.

I also attended WP schools from grade 5 at Ridgeway School and later Eastview, Highlands and WP HS.
